Risk intelligence and competitive advantage
[edit]One of the most important goals of risk intelligence is that to help organizations to achieve and sustain competitive advantage. By helping organizations to gather information regarding market vagueness. Consequently, organizations will be able to make better and informed decisions. Risk intelligence tools could assist in many different decisions a company could make for example investing decisions, whether to purchase new stocks or not. Political risks, how building a facility in a country will harm the operations because of some political events. Project risk, which includes tools to forecast and estimate uncertain events that could occur and effect the project`s profitability or have a negative impact on the project`s plan. Competitive risk, which enable an organization to identify their competitors, gather information about their products, services and their current technologies in addition to monitor the market. The main idea is that companies could gain the competitive advantage when using risk intelligence tools by enabling them to identify the risk they surrounded with and discovering what they should improve. However, Businesses are using business intelligence tools to enhance risk management and risk management tools benefit from business intelligence approaches.There are many examples that most companies uses to improve their risk management including fuzzy logic, neural networks and genetic algorithms/evolutionary computation and optimization approaches. Some usages of them are: Early-Warning Systems. It studies the external environment such as economic to implement models that help the organization to reduce risks before the project failure.
Neural Networks Based Risk Analysis
It used to identify patterns in complex structure of data.
Game Based Risk Analysis
Is a game theory which studies the role of competitive strategy.
Data Mining in Enterprise Risk Management
Applies statistical and artificial intelligence tools and analyse of large data sets.
